With the FutureAIO, Concept International has launched a cutting-edge new product: In addition to features such as a retractable 4K webcam and a wireless smartphone charging station, the high-resolution Full HD monitor includes an Intel Core i or Core Ultra CPU slot module. This makes it the first modular all-in-one PC on the market: upgrading the computer or replacing a component takes just a few steps and no more than five minutes. With the AIO developed in Germany under its own Future brand, Munich-based VAD Concept International focuses not only on sustainability but also on high standards of technology, ergonomics, flexibility, and design—whether in hospital administration, outpatient registration, the reception desk at a doctor’s office, or the desk in a treatment room.

“Modularity is exactly what the AIO concept has been missing so far to be 100 percent convincing and successful,” says Mike Finckh, Managing Director of Concept International. Until now, all-in-one desktop PCs had to be sent to a repair shop—a time-consuming process—or completely replaced when upgrades or repairs were needed. With the FutureAIO, the processor module can be swapped out right at the desk in as little as 5 minutes—a boon for system administrators that lowers operating costs while boosting availability and lifespan. After all, monitors typically last 8 years, whereas PCs usually only last 3 to 4 years. Thanks to the PC module upgrade, the FutureAIO can be used for twice as long as a conventional PC. A major plus in terms of sustainability. “And with a preconfigured CPU in the drawer, even a doctor without IT expertise can do it quickly,” says Mike Finckh. The PC module, which meets the SDM standard, features USB-C ports with DisplayPort, four USB 3.2 ports, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth, and two Wi-Fi interfaces. It is available with Intel processors from the Core i3, i5, i7, or Core Ultra series, and runs either Windows 11 or Linux as the operating system.

Flexible monitor relieves neck strain

The screen, in the widely used 24-inch format (Full HD, 1920×1080), is height-adjustable and can be tilted flexibly to allow for comfortable work with a straight back and neck. “Design meets posture. The FutureAIO thus also serves as a stylish and ergonomic alternative to working on a laptop,” says Managing Director Mike Finckh. The monitor, which can be rotated 90 degrees for portrait-oriented viewing, features an integrated 4K webcam and stereo HD microphones that electrically disconnect when retracted. A touchscreen or a 27-inch version is also available upon request. With three monitor ports, up to four displays can be connected.

Smart Features

A wireless charging dock at the base of the monitor keeps your smartphone charged. The mouse and keyboard are also available as a wireless kit that connects via a dongle or Bluetooth. The FutureAIO therefore requires only a single power connection and eliminates up to seven cables. This keeps the workspace tidy and hygienic, and by eliminating up to 14 plugs, it also reduces the likelihood of errors.

Pricing and Service

The sustainable concept also extends to the packaging: it is eco-friendly and plastic-free. As part of its comprehensive service, Concept International also offers custom configuration options—ranging from the MS Office suite to white casings for use in medical practices or the healthcare sector. The suggested retail price starts at €895 for the Intel Core i3 version and €995 for the Core i5 Performance version with a 512 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM. Currently, there is also a 100-euro introductory voucher available for direct orders placed via the website. With an extended warranty, the coverage can be extended to a total of five years after the 36-month manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
